Lakeland Disability Support, who provide grants to individuals and groups supporting those with a disability across South Lakeland, have generously chosen to support St John’s Hospice again with a donation for two syringe drivers.
This donation of £2,876 has enabled us to purchase two vital pieces of medical equipment, supporting our care of patients and their families in South Lakeland.
Syringe drivers help patients to receive important medicines in the right dosage, at specific times. This means they can stay at home, rather than be admitted to our ward or hospital. Having use of a syringe driver helps to promote independence and wellbeing for our patients.
Debbie Meikle, Ward Sister, said
“A big thank you from the Ward team – we know this equipment will be enormously beneficial to our patients in aiding their mobility. This will also be very much appreciated by staff members in carrying out individual care needs of our lovely patients”
