St John’s Hospice Shops Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of St John’s Hospice with company number 02490956. All profits are donated to the hospice to ensure that it can carry out its valuable work.
Mark is an experienced Non Executive Director, Chair, Executive Director and Chief Executive. His experience has been gained in Health, Housing, Local Government and Voluntary sectors. Particular expertise in Governance, Regulations, Finance, HR and Communications. Within the Hospice Board Mark takes a lead on Finance and other resources and serves on the Shops Board.
He joined the Hospice as he wants to help make a difference to the quality of life for local people, especially when they need support and care.
Tiffany is currently a partner in Renes Fashion, a family run business which has been the heart of Lancaster fashion for over 60 years. Previously Tiffany worked in London for major institutions with career including roles such as Roadshow Co-ordinator, Trading Floor Desk Assistant, Personal/Executive Assistant and People Manager.
St John’s Hospice is a charity dear to Tiffany and she is delighted to be part of the board at St John’s Hospice and brings a wealth of retail knowledge to her role.
Over the course of her career Emma has worked in management and leadership roles in both the private and public sectors. Having started her professional working life and career in retail management the delivery of high service standards and “customer” focussed service has been an underpinning principle within all roles Emma has held. Over the course of her career Emma has developed a diverse range of knowledge and experience within the areas of strategic human, and facilities, resource management.
Emma has served for 6 years as the elected staff director on the Board of Directors at the University of Cumbria, and over the 12 months Aug 18-19 was the University’s nominated Trustee on the Board of Trustees for Kelsick Educational Foundation Trust in Ambleside.
After studying computer science at Herriot-Watt University, Robin has worked in retail for the last 23 years. Starting as a Sales Colleague with Comet many years ago in Edinburgh, he worked in various roles before becoming a Regional Manager, covering stores from Inverness to Birmingham. For the last 7 years Robin has been Store Manager for Lakeland’s flagship store in Windermere.
Throughout his career he has developed great knowledge and experience of Retail Operations, Commerciality and Customer Service. Robin lives in Lancashire with his wife and 2 young boys.
Helen graduated from the University of Leeds with degree in history before joining British Home Stores as a trainee HR manager. This was the start of a retail career that lasted over thirty five years, the majority of which were spent as the Lancaster Store Manager but also incorporated many projects and secondments for new store openings and refurbishments. Before retirement she worked as a Personal Assistant and Support Manager to her Area Manager and his twenty stores.
Helen is very happy to have joined the board and hopes that her extensive retail experience can support the work of the St John’s Hospice shops team.
Living in Morecambe, Helen enjoys family life and her grandchild.
Sue is the Chief Executive of St John’s Hospice and was previously CEO of St Mary’s Hospice in Cumbria. Sue’s career has spanned the private and public sector as well as 2 national charities. She supports senior charity leadership teams as part of the “Cascading Leadership” coaching programme with the Kings Fund and is an Honorary Teaching Fellow and an “Entrepreneur in Residence” at Lancaster University.
Tracey is the Director of Finance and Resources at St John’s Hospice. She started her career in finance working in accountancy practices and has worked in business, local authority and higher education sectors. Along with being a qualified FCCA accountant Tracey also holds fellowship status for the Higher Education Academy.
