Engagement & Involvement

St John’s Hospice VOICE is the service user forum for the hospice. It stands for ‘Valued Opinions to Improve Care Excellence’.
It is a group of people, patient and family members/carers who have all had experience of any service that St John’s has provided, in the past 5 years.

The forum meets every six weeks to discuss any comments, ideas and thoughts that may make a difference to patients, families and hospice visitors who use St John’s services in the Hospice and in their own homes.

The work of VOICE is especially important because it helps ensure that our care is of the highest standard possible - through listening to the people who use our services.

VOICE is involved in many aspects of hospice care including patient views of the care environment, reviewing patient information leaflets and materials etc. You can do this by attending meetings on line or in person and/or you can support from afar e.g. checking materials at home.
