Run 29 Miles in February

It’s that time of year to be setting new challenges, whether you are looking for some outdoor mindfulness, getting fit or supporting a local charity... TAKE THE LEAP and run 29 Miles with us this February.

Whether you run a mile a day or clock several miles a couple of times a week, we will support you through our Facebook Group and send you a FREE t-shirt with a mile tracker so you can tick them off.

St John's hospice is a local charity, receiving only around 25% funding from the NHS. All the funds raised in this challenge will be used to support the work of St John's Hospice, locally.

We have made it super easy to sponsor our ‘Run 29 Miles in February’ runners

As we are having some issues with accepting donations through Facebook so we have created a simple sponsor form so you can show your support to one of our amazing challenge runner by following these steps.

  • Select the amount you would like to sponsor or choose your own amount
  • Add the FULL NAME of the person you would like to sponsor so we can allocate it to them.
  • Click the ‘Sponsor your runner’ button to check out & pay

A big thank you for supporting your local Hospice through this challenge.

Gift Aid for St John’s Hospice

Gift Aid adds 25% in value to any donation you make to St John’s Hospice. These much needed funds are already helping us to provide care and support for patients and their families in your local area. If you are a UK taxpayer and the donation is your own money (not from a collection, in return for goods or from a business), St John’s Hospice can claim from HMRC an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, therefore increasing your donation by 25%!

By ticking the above box, you are confirming that you want to Gift Aid your donation and any donations you make in the future or have made in the past 4 years to St John's Hospice, Lancaster. You are confirming that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, it is your responsibility to pay any difference. You understand that Gift Aid is reclaimed by St John’s Hospice from the tax you pay to the current tax year. For more information, please go to www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid

Your fundraising will help us fund a range of services in the Hospice and in patient homes across North Lancashire, the South Lakes and areas of North Yorkshire.

Do I have to create my fundraiser through Facebook?

If you prefer you can create an online fundraising page through JustGiving here. Alternatively, we have a sponsor form which can be used to collect offline donations available to download at sjhospice.org.uk
