Jump for St John’s Skydive September

Our second Skydive for 2024 – Sunday 15th September!

Would you like to feel an adrenaline rush like no other? Why not spread your wings and ‘Jump for St John’s!’ YOU could experience the thrill of freefalling from 11,000ft to support your local hospice in a sponsored tandem skydive at Black Knights Skydiving Centre, Cockerham.

This is an amazing fundraising challenge. Sign up today with a £50 deposit!

NB: Your deposit of £50 reserves your place on our sky dive. You will need to complete an online consent and medical declaration form, and receive clearance to complete the sky dive before your place is confirmed.

The minimum sponsorship target for this event is £400 – if you raise over this amount, your deposit can be refunded.

NB: You can choose to fund or part fund the jump yourself and raise a lower amount if you wish. For example: Pay £250 yourself and raise the remaining £150 in sponsorship.

Once your deposit is paid a St. John’s Hospice Fundraiser will be in touch with the next steps.

St John’s Events & Corporate Fundraiser Lily jumped back in 2017, here is what she said…

“It truly is a feeling like no other, it’s more like flying than falling. The view was breath-taking and it gives you a refreshing and incredible perspective on the world. What makes it even better is that you’re also raising money and awareness for an incredible cause!”

Before you join the jump!

Here are some important FAQs about great challenge:

How high do I jump from?

The cost of your tandem skydive is for a jump from 11,000ft. You can upgrade to 15,000ft, on the day only, for an additional £25.

Can I have the jump videoed?

Yes you can. The cost for video and stills is £120. You get your own personal camera man to video your experience and give you anything from 80 to 120 high quality images. You also get to leave with it on the day just half an hour after you land.

When we arrive, how long will it take to jump?

Skydiving is an all day event. Due to weather conditions and how busy it is on the day, they can not predict an accurate time for your jump. You must expect to spend the whole day with us to complete your jump.

What should I wear to do my skydive?

Comfortable casual/sports clothing is advised with pumps/training type shoes that can be laced up securely. Please no boots.

What is the age limit for a tandem jump?

Anyone over the age of 16 can do a tandem jump.

Can I bring spectators?

Yes you can but please be aware that this could be an all day event and spectators could get bored very quickly. Please make them aware of this. If you bring small children, there is not a lot for them to do and can become restless very quickly, if you are waiting a long time to jump.

Is there a cafe on site?

Yes there is, serving hot and cold snacks all day Friday to Sunday and a large picnic area.

Can we bring our dog?

Unfortunately, due to insurance and safety, dogs are not allowed on the drop zone. The only exception is a guide dog.

How much training do I get for a tandem jump?

You will receive a minimum of 20 mins training before your jump from one of the Tandem Instructors.
