Volunteering
Volunteering – ‘Make a Difference’
Its very easy to ‘Make a Difference to St. John’s. This is your chance to give something back to your local hospice and will make a world of difference to us.
We would love your help either within the hospice; our shops or outside in our grounds. You don't have to have any special skills but if you have we will try and put them to good use! All you need is enthusiasm and a desire to help.
We are very fortunate to have over 300 volunteers who ‘Make a Difference’ to the Hospice by donating a few hours a week. They are valued and essential members of our team - we couldn’t continue caring without them!
Not only do our volunteers help us raise much needed funds each year, either at events or in our shops, they also carry out roles within the hospice which has saved the charity in excess of £379,000 over the last 12 months.
In return for your support we offer you the chance to make new friends, learn new skills, gain valuable work experience and be part of a wonderful organisation that supports your local community.
We have a wide range of volunteering roles available, it is just about finding the right opportunity to meet your skills, experience, availability and needs.
Volunteers provide support to the organisation in the following areas -
