St. John’s Hospice Shops Ltd is looking to recruit a Warehouse Assistant who will support the Warehouse & Distribution Manager with the safe processing of donated stock, and efficient distribution to our network of 9 shops.
Location: Warehouse, Edenvale Crescent, Lancaster
Hours: 37.5 per week across a 6 day rota (Monday – Saturday)
Role Type: Permanent
Pay: £17,745 per annum
Pension Scheme: 8% employer contribution
Closing Date: 11th May 2021
All of our shops are open 6 days a week and you will be helping the warehouse sort and separate stock for delivery to relevant shops and liaising with shop managers regarding stock requirements. Some other duties will be to:
· Identify items which will achieve a higher value through online platforms, e.g. eBay
· Ensure any items that can be recycled are put to good use. E.g. scrap metal, plastic, cardboard etc.
· Assist the van driver with deliveries when required.
· Support volunteers who help in the warehouse
