Shop Manager, Pedder Street

Do you have an interest and knowledge of pre-loved goods and enjoy meeting the public? Have you worked in retail previously and are you passionate about excellent customer service? If so, then we’d really like to hear from you.

Our Pedder Street Shop, Morecambe, is a busy retail outlet which generates vital income for St John’s Hospice from donated stock. The role is physically demanding and you should be able to lift and move bags of donated stock.

The post-holder will contribute towards maximising store sales and profits, promote Gift Aid and represent St Johnโ€™s Hospice in a professional manner reflecting our core values at all times.

 

๐Ÿ“ย Location:ย Pedder Street, Morecambe

โฐ Hours: 35 per week, over a 7-day rota (including Sundays and Bank Holidays)

๐Ÿ’ฐ Salary: ยฃ18,928 per annum

โœ… Contract: Permanent

๐Ÿ’š Pension: 8% employer funded

Some Duties Are:

  • Maximise sales and minimise costs in the shop and across the whole retail operation.
  • Be accountable for the effective management of staff, volunteers, stock and administration.
  • Motivate and train staff and volunteers to a high standard, creating a positive team spirit in your store.
  • Ensure the delivery, by yourself and all those working or volunteering in the shop, of excellent customer service.
  • Present a professional image to staff, volunteers and customers at all times reflecting the image and reputation of St John’s Hospice.
