Light Up A Life
Honour someone special this Christmas
Give in memory or in celebration of a loved one
As Christmas approaches and we make plans to create new new magical memories. While we celebrate all that is new, we understand the need for time to reflect and celebrate those who have impacted on our lives.
Whether you dedicate in memory of a loved one or want to thank and honour someone still in your life, you can dedicate a light on our Hospice tree.
In return for your donation you will receive a personalised handwritten card with the name of the person you are honouring, to display in your home or to gift. You will also receive a ribbon, which you will be welcome to tie to a new outdoor display at St John’s or add to your own tree at home.
This year, if you make your dedication online you will have the option to upload your own photograph and message to add to our brand new Memory Wall. This is a wonderful way to make your dedication shine brighter and share with others in celebrating your loved one.

Sep wanted to take his wide to Morecambe Promenade one more and unfortunately wasn’t well enough for a day trip. We granted this wish creating their own bespoke experience here at the hospice so Sep and Margaret could share an unforgettable time together on the run up to Christmas.

Supporting you this season
The festive season can be a difficult time for many adults, children and young adults who have been bereaved. If you, a friend or family member need a little advice on ways of coping this Christmas please download our ‘Supporting you this season guide’.
We have also added a template for you to print out and write, colour or decorate your ‘light bulb moment’ for 2020. This may be a reflective thought, a moment of happiness or plans for the future.
