Massive congratulations and thanks to Kerry Blacow who did the amazing Lakeland 50 challenge in aid of the hospice. Kerry ran up ‘hill after hill’ for 50 miles and has so far raised over £600 for St John’s – thank you so much!
Kerry said ‘I did it in 12 hours 8 mins and am really pleased as it was super tough!! There is just hill after hill, the weather couldn’t have been any better, I was so nervous the week leading up to it, but am glad I’ve done it. St John’s Hospice are a fantastic team of people who rely on donations to keep looking after more loved ones. Every year I choose a challenge to raise money but this is my biggest yet, a 50 mile run over the mountains of the Lake District. I’ve got to keep people donating and to continue making my Dad proud of me.’
