St John’s Hospice is excited to be investing in its workforce development programme. We are looking for a key individual who will develop and implement a Learning and Development Strategy that enables all hospice staff to further strengthen their skills and expertise.

Hours:                         37.5 hours per week
Contract:                  Permanent
Pay:                              *£36,554 – £37,674 (*depending upon pension scheme)
Pension scheme:  8% employer contribution (*NHS Pension Scheme available subject to eligibility)

Your role will be to embed a culture of positive continuous learning to ensure an excellent patient experience, and contribute to strong organisational performance.

You will also establish strong relationships with external stakeholders including funders, health and social care leads and academic partners to proactively identify opportunities for the delivery of high quality palliative and end of life care education across North Lancashire & South Cumbria.

Developing the growth of income from external educational activity and external grant applications to support education, research and development initiatives will form part of your agenda.

Leading, managing and inspiring the Learning & Development team you will utilise the skills of colleagues to establish a programme of learning and development which ensures our teams have the tools to enable patient-centred care to flourish.
