We are incredibly proud to have recently opened our Forget Me Not Centre, a state-of-the-art family therapy centre, which welcomes families, adults, children and young people known to St John’s Hospice, to support them as they cope with the loss of their loved one. Could you be part of this vital service within the community?
We are looking for a Head of Family Support & Bereavement who will lead, manage and develop our Family Support Services at St John’s Hospice. This will include the provision of social work, bereavement and spiritual care support for patients and families experiencing loss. Leading a small team of paid employees and a dedicated bank of valuable trained volunteers, you will assess and facilitate psychological support across all hospice services, supporting other clinical professionals to assist.

Location: St John’s Hospice, Lancaster
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Pay: £39,740* – £40,970 per annum (pro rata, dependant on pension scheme)
Pension: *NHS Pension Scheme available subject to availability criteria; or 8% employer funded St John’s Hospice Pension Scheme
