The Centre opened in June 2022 to offer a safe space for children, adults and families to connect and to meet others dealing with the death of someone that meant the world to them.

Your one-off donation could help families receive the care and support that makes a positive difference to somebody’s today and tomorrow.
Meet Melanie and her daughters Leah and Daisy, who have been supported by the Forget Me Not Centre team, during and following the death of their loving husband and father, Darren who sadly died on Father’s Day in 2023:
“We couldn’t thank the Hospice enough for our amazing 3 weeks with Darren before his passing and the amazing work the Forget Me Not Centre offers to us even after death.
We would be truly lost without this amazing place and we will continue to go when we need to…it’s made the loss more bearable.”
A one-off donation from you to the Forget Me Not Centre at St John’s is a practical 2nd birthday gift for a family like the Thompson’s or to someone who is grieving alone.
Your donation will help us continue to be the safe space for people to deal with their grief.
Could pay for a hug bag which includes sensory and wellbeing resources to support children to manage and express their feelings on death and dying.
Could fund a session of 1-1 bereavement support for an adult, helping them work through painful feelings of loss and reach a place where they can cherish the memories of their loved one.
Could pay for a family therapy session at the Forget Me Not Centre, which allows a whole family to process their loss and to resolve any areas of conflict or distress.
Could pay for a monthly Grief Café, a supportive group for bereaved adults to access peer support and formal therapy in a relaxed, informal environment, over a cup of tea.
