Donna’s Family Story
In 2021 St John’s Hospice brightened the communities of South Lakes and North Lancashire through the planting of hundreds of dedicated sunflowers at Brockhole on Windermere and at Lancaster Castle.
Donna’s dad, Kevin Sanderson, received care from the Hospice at Home team during 2021. Donna and her daughter loved visiting the sunflowers;
“One was dedicated to my lovely Dad. My daughter loved visiting and chose a special one for her Grandad in the sky.
I’m looking forward to getting another flower for my dad’s memorial garden. By sponsoring one every year, we can get a collection of lots of lovely metal wildflowers for the memorial. The Forget Me Not flower is my favourite and is perfect for the Hospice.”
