Cross Bay Walk

Join us for our 2024 Cross Bay Walk. This adventure takes to the sands of Morecambe Bay to support St John’s Hospice on Saturday 10th August 2024.

This is an amazing way to explore Morecambe Bay, enjoy an exciting walk and support your local hospice.

Start time is 9am, registration will be open from 8am. Setting off from Arnside Promenade and arriving at Grange, the walk is approximately 8.5 miles and takes around 3-4 hours.
Please note the minimum recommended age for children is 10 years old if they are not used to strenuous walks.
Places are limited and early booking is highly advisable to avoid disappointment.

Well behaved dogs are welcome at a cost of £1 per dog.

Please remember that this is a fundraising event for St John’s Hospice – we encourage all participants to please raise sponsorship to help support the vital care the St John’s provides freely to the community.

What your sponsorship could support:

£35 - This could fund a Memory Box for a family filled with cherished items and memories of their loved one, which will help them process their grief.

£80 - Could fund a Hospice at Home visit from two members of our team, supporting a patient and their family during the last two months of life.

£160 - Could fund a night sitting visit to enable a family carer to have a good night’s sleep to help them through the next day.

Directions: The start point for the Cross Bay Walk is the Promenade at Arnside. Finishing point is Grange over Sands. Please note that transport back to the start point is not provided. There are train stations at both start and end points.
