Donating good quality items

What to donate and how to do it!

All of the fantastic items available to buy in our 10 shops are donated by wonderful, kind people, just like you! If you are having a clear out, or you have upgraded some furniture, or just looking to help a local charity, please think of us.

Furniture

We have 3 furniture shops in Lancaster, Kendal and Garstang and we are always looking for good quality furniture to fill them up! Do you have any sofas, tables, chairs, bookcases etc., that you no longer need? We can collect them free of charge from your home! Just call your nearest furniture shop to arrange collection. Please note that any donations of soft furnishings must have the fire safety label and glassware must have kite mark. Please only donate good quality, saleable items. We have to pay to dispose of any items that we can’t sell. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you are unsure.

our clothes shops

Our other 7 shops sell a lot more than clothes! We sell books, shoes, bric-a-brac, crockery, electrical items, glassware, jewellery and so much more. There are always some incredible bargains to be found, and we need your help to keep our shelves bursting with great items. Please call us on 01524 64733 if you have any questions about what you can donate. We accept most good quality, saleable items.

How to donate

There are many ways that you can donate your goods to us. For furniture, large items or large quantities of items, we can collect them from your home, free of charge. Please call your nearest furniture shop for details.

You can also donate at any of our 10 shops during opening hours. Please do not leave bags outside of store hours as they could go missing or get weather damaged. You can donate at the hospice on Slyne Road 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. There is a shed on the right of the entrance to our drive where you can leave donations any time of the day or night. It is emptied every week day morning.

Thank you for your continued help and support.
