Pat and Tammie Marshall organised a live music charity night at the Royal Station Hotel in Carnforth on 6th May and raised over £4,000 for St John’s Hospice. There was a disco, a hog roast and live music from local entertainers Anthony and Antonia. The night was in memory of Lancaster City legend Neil Marshall, and his father Tony, who both passed away recently, supported by St John’s Hospice.
Pat said, “we wanted to put something back in to the hospice after all the support we have received during the last few months. We lost two members of our family within the space of 3 weeks so it was a way for us to say thank you.” Pat’s grandchildren, Reece aged 5 and Grace aged 3, handed over the cheque and said “this money means that Uncle Tony and Cousin Neil will get their angel wings now”.
Thank you from everyone at St John’s for this fantastic fundraising effort.
