A house on Calder Way in Morecambe was lit up this Christmas in aid of St John’s Hospice. David Miller has been a passionate supporter of St John’s for quite a while, he also has a passion for Christmas and lights so he decided to combine the two! David has always decorated his house in Christmas Lights but in 2015 he decided to use the occasion to fundraise for St John’s. He did all again for us this Christmas and has raised over £800 so far. People came from all over the area as they heard about the spectacular Christmas lights on display and were asked to leave a small donation to St John’s in appreciation of David’s hard work.
David said, “Another year over and a new one just begun. And with it the announcement of this years charity donation to St John’s Hospice. A very creditable £508 from our generous visitors. Thank you so much. Your support makes our effort worthwhile, so thank you again. We are already thinking of new things to excite you for next Christmas!”
Thank you to David and his friends and family for such a fantastic fundraising idea and effort, we can’t wait to see next year’s lights!
