We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Retail team, working in our Garstang Furniture Shop. The role will also include occasionally supporting our network of shops in Lancaster / Morecambe.

Could you contribute towards maximising store sales and profits, promote Gift Aid and represent St John’s Hospice in a professional manner reflecting our core values at all times? The role is physically demanding and you should be able to lift and move donated items.
Location: High Street, Garstang
Hours: 14 per week, over a 7-day rota (including Sundays and Bank Holidays)
Pay: £6,624 per annum
Pension: 8% employer funded St John’s Hospice Pension Scheme

Some Duties Are:
- Maximise sales and minimise costs in the shop and across the whole retail operation.
- Be accountable for the effective management of staff, volunteers, stock and administration.
- Motivate and train staff and volunteers to a high standard, creating a positive team spirit in your store.
- Ensure the delivery, by yourself and all those working or volunteering in the shop, of excellent customer service.
- Present a professional image to staff, volunteers and customers at all times reflecting the image and reputation of St John’s Hospice.
