Morecambe FC visit the Hospice

As part of the Help the Hospices and Football League partnership, Morecambe FC paid a visit to the Hospice!

On July 25th Morecambe FC came to visit us here at the hospice, to celebrate our pairing as part of the Help the Hospices and Football League partnership.
Manager, Jim Bentley, players and some of his backroom staff, spent time at our Day Hospice in the Oak Centre, finding out about the services we offer and chatting to patients and staff. Assistant Manager, Ken McKenna, and player, Stuart Drummond, also visited football enthusiast, Mike, on the ward.
As St. John's Hospice is lucky enough to be charity of the Year for Morecambe FC for 2011-12 we look forward to working alongside the club, and are already organising a variety of fun events such as 'Zipped' - a high wire adventure, and also a charity ball to be held at the Globe next spring.
A team from St. John's Hospice will be showing their support at the Globe Arena on Saturday 6th August for the first league game of the season!
