Macmillian Nursing

The Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists in Community Palliative Care specialise in palliative care, they provide support and information to people with life limiting illnesses. Families, friends and carers are also offered this support.

They offer the following:

• Specialised pain and symptom control,emotional support for the patient and their family or carer.
• Provide information about treatments and side effects.
• Offer advice to other members of the caring team, GPs, district nurses or Marie Curie nurses.
• Advise on access to other forms of support, including financial help.
